Looking for a good/average and cheap games for 1 vs 1 lan matches?

I recently bought Age of Mythology and the Titans Expantion and I had Empire Earth Two and its expansion from a while ago. I am looking for some good games for Lan play. Both my friend and I are 18, so there are no issues with ESRB ratings and such. Please don’t suggest Pay to Play games (World of Warcraft) even though that isn’t Lan anyway.
This is for a Vista Laptop and a XP Computer.

empire earth 2,3 really were trash
empire earth 1 u can play on a lan for days and days and save and continue the next day its a bunch of fun … one of the best rts’s ive ever played
and only cost about 5-10 $
