How much memory/hard drive/ram etc is needed to run most games?Who makes a good system for game play?

just add another 512mb ram and get a reasonable graphics card
geforce 6800 or 6600 will run the most demanding games.

yes it true lap top are slower and PC just don’t work a great deal for games they just freeze up all the time and there(P.Cs) all the same.

great site keeps you up-dated on all the best games, drivers what ever you need for games or game playing check it out my husband and I love it. I got him the game doom and a lot of computers cannot play it his can! and it is a lap top!!….. with NVIDIA

Yes it sounds ok for all those games…..Usually you can get higher Ghz in desktop than laptops so they runs faster but youf configeration sounds ok….make sure to set cache level (if you are not pro please try it on your own)

the major problem with laptops for game play is the graphics. look for something with a dedicated video card insted if an intergrated one.

With an AMD athlon 64 processor and your system info, it should give you the ample leverage in running games. But it would definitely enhance your gaming experience if you opt for advanced processors like AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core or AMD Athlon 64 FX. AMD 64 FX is specially designed for gaming purposes, but is very costly. If you’re a serious gamer, AMD Athlon 64 FX is well recommended.

for new games that are coming the more ram the better 1024mbr is good but if you can go to 2024mbr then games will run very good . you have a ATI Radeon Graphics card for your display that good to check how much ram you have right click mycomputer icon click on propeties on the system propeties box at the bottom your see how much ram is in your computer your see the hard drive 200 GHz, .. next to that your see the ram if you can add 2024 mbr to your computer your really going to b e fine and the ATI 200 series Graphics card is very good on windows xp you can update the drivers for the ATI 200 series Graphics card
from the ATI website click on your ATI icon in the taskbar by your pc time then when you have the ATI box on screen click on the update tab that will take you to the ATI website where you can download the new driver update for your ATI ATI 200 series Graphics card

check your internet speed/download/upload speed to make sure your isp server is not ripping you off if they say your getting 3.5 mb download speed and 2.4 upload speed make sure you are from the net speed test website
